ACCA appoints new Head of HR
Darren Parris has joined ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) as Head of Human Resources.
A qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) with 15 years of HR experience, Darren worked in Halifax PLC from 1985 and after carrying out various operational roles in the branch network, moved into a regional HR position in 1990. In 2001 he was appointed the Head of HR at the Financial Ombudsman Service in London.
In his role at ACCA, Darren will be responsible for HR development among over 650 staff who work in ACCA's global network of offices. ACCA is the largest and fastest international professional accountancy body with over 345,000 members and students in over 160 countries.
