Achievement recognised
On 6 May 2005, ACCA students from around the world attended the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel in London to celebrate their outstanding achievements.
The prizewinners for this session came from Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, greater China, India, Ireland, Kenya, Malaysia, Malta, Nigeria, Poland, Ukraine, Singapore and the UK, a representation of the truly global reach of ACCA's qualifications. Their employers also illustrate the variety of different careers open to those who study ACCA qualifications. They work in industry, the public sector, in Big Four firms. In addition, a few are full-time students.
ACCA Deputy President and President elect Christopher Forster welcomed students and their friends and families, and awarded them with their prizes.
Following the ceremony, a buffet lunch was served, allowing the prizewinners to meet members of ACCA staff, chat to sponsor representatives and fellow students from around the world. After lunch, the prizewinners and their guests attended a reception at ACCA's headquarters in Lincoln's Inn Fields, where they were met by ACCA Chief Executive Allen Blewitt.
